![]() A torch is a great bundle of the stuff and it won't take much to seriously ruin your day. I don't see it penetrating armor easily.doing damage? Absolutely, sets a person on fire.Sounds like acid fire to meīy the way, I also like my enemies to enter in clouds of poison, get caught in fire and I wish there were also pits. as if I'm made of straw, even if it's cloth with grease. in every aspect like this there is an opportunity for a challenge and the game is already too easy once you get the hang of it.Īnd forgive me if I find it hard to believe that a blow from a fire torch lights me on fire. in a fantasy world such a contagious fire should be something separate. The thing with fire, again it's not a problem to find a solution for immunity against it, it just feels cheated. Anyone who plays the game long enough knows that the combat challenges decrease very, very quickly. Note that I advocate upgrading the challenge, along with logic. otherwise they will become extinct by themselves. If this is definitely a cruel country then its wild animals should be like that too. (same for poison)ģ.Battlefield adaptation, it's a bit crazy that a burning arrow would make a big fire on snow Something with a rising score that will be available to most classics. In my opinion, several things should be done with fire:ġ.Normal fire and alchemist fire/Greek fireĢ.Passive immunity skill to improve, not full immunity. An animal like a wolf or a bear that has a lot of fur, maybe, but it also doesn't make sense. Lets leave for a moment a warrior entering a burning area, do you find sense in taking a blow from a torch to a body armored in iron and magically immediately catching fire?. I was at the time of the previous version as well, I think both versions are stupid, there should be something in between. ![]() Good point, flying beasts should get a sky-to-battlefield surprise attack skill. The current version caused a lot of upset initially but I've grown to accept it now - it means you can't set fire to everything without expecting some consequences and run/first aid are now far more valuable than I certainly found them at the start. The original version where any movement would negate it made it fairly useless. The fights against the cardinal mosquitoes feel especially fake - why would a flying creature have to go around rather than over a ground obstacle? As for the poison clouds, they again feel very artificial, and as you say the animals lacking immunity feels off.įire is a more tricky one throughout the game. Bears were a great addition when Ludern opened up but these just feel wrong. Originally posted by pd28:Crocswine and mosquitoes are probably my least favourite parts of game as it stands.
